Today I would like to introduce you to the lovely work of Noor. She is a Palm Beach State, Lake Worth Graphic Design student. She is currently enrolled in my Photoshop 1 course. The images that accompanying this post are from her character design assignment.
She first created a digital painting of her hero (the girl) and sidekick (the cat), and then she created a book jacket, movie poster, website and SWAG pieces. Obviously, I didn’t include everything but here is a nice sampling of some of her work.
As you look at her work, can you guess who her target audience was? (Hint: If you said 70 year old men, wrong!)
It’s all about bubble gum pink, starry nights, magic and love. Noor’s use of color is probably the biggest connection to her target demographic. The typeface is on trend and feels like a page out of a young woman’s journal. Very well done Noor. It’s been a pleasure sharing Thursday mornings with such a talented and inspiring young designer.
As a professor I have to say it’s wonderful to watch my students evolve and grow. On day one they barely know their way around the program, and to see what you have accomplished in a short few months is absolutely incredible.
